Reviews
The doctor and staff are kind, it's a nice office. But we are having a newborn in October, and they are telling us to take our 2 year old to a drive in vaccine 20 minutes farther away because they are too lazy to do it individually. The whole point of a pediatrician is because a doctor visit/ injection is a scary process, especially for a 2 year old. They are not concerned with your child's well being, they just care that their job is easy and they make their money. Now I get to take my 2 year old daughter to a CVS for her vaccine because her doctors office is too lazy to give it to her.
Adding to this review: the staff wouldn’t accommodate us and my 2 year old has no other option as a regular business such as CVS won’t even give a 2 year old a vaccine due to safety. So here is our 11 o’clock appointment with my wife who is 2 days away from labor, which I told the office about and they didn’t care. Terrible business, like sheep with dollar signs over their head. This line spans 2 parking lots, this is for a 2 year old. SMH, making 1 year olds do this too. Literally shooting babies with needles in parking lots, I understand 5 and up or something of the sort, this is a joke.
I wouldn’t recommend. The dr we had didn’t listen to us about health history and ended up being wrong in the end. The parking lot isn’t great. I’m giving 2 stars because at least it wasn’t a super long wait (about 10 mins) and we got the medicine we needed (although I had to strongly advocate to get what was needed). There’s a reason this was the only location that had open appointments. Next time I’m going to go with an urgent care center instead if this is the only location with availability. Other negative reviews seem accurate based on our experience.
Took my daughter in because I was concerned about an infection before the holiday. Nurse took my daughter’s weight but did no vitals. No temp check. Nurse was in and out quickly
Seemed ok? Nurse practitioner dismissed my concerns and again no temp check or vitals taken. She looked at daughter’s ears, nose, mouth, and listened to her chest and back. Suggested allergies. Flonase and Zyrtec. Nice but again in and out quickly. Made me feel like just a number. My daughter got a fever that same day. My daughter is WAY worse now! I’m taking her to Seattle Children’s Urgent Care tonight. Easier to schedule, they check all vitals, actually care, and urgent care is cheaper than Allegro. Would NEVER recommend Allegro Pediatrics.
Here’s a very objective review.
1. Level of care: 5/5 stars. My daughter sees Dr. Marion here. The level of care, detail, and patience is outstanding. She redefines a new standard for what a pediatrician should be. Not only she cares about the kid, but also parents, environment, and well-being of the overall family. Nurse practitioners are also well trained, knowledgeable, and procedural.
2. Location and facility: 5/5. Easily accessible with plenty of parking. The facility is clean, well-lit, and has adequate safety egresses.
3. Front desk: 3/5. Generally helpful, but sometimes there is nobody at the front desk, especially around noon. Also, for example, babies and 4 year olds cannot get vaccines early even by a day. We scheduled the 12mo visit early by 1 day and ended up having to make another trip. The front desk said nothing when we scheduled it with her. This kind of things should be warned to the parents.
4. Response time of care team via online portal: 5/5 - Speedy response within 48h almost all the time.
Overall, still highly recommend this practice.
I took my son for his annual check-up. The doctor we saw was not very interactive and had minimal communication. He conducted a basic examination and promptly left. During the annual check-up, the doctor inquired if we had any concerns. We mentioned a couple of observations we had regarding our son. However, we were surprised to be charged a co-pay for addressing these concerns, which were not covered in the annual check-up. These were merely concerns we shared; the doctor did not prescribe any medication or treatment. It seems unusual to be billed for raising concerns during an annual check-up.
Only because I can not give it 0 star. It’s not only a waste of your time and money to visit this clinic, but also DANGEROUS. I took my son there after he had been running a high grade fever (>103) for 4 days, doctor there didn’t run any test on him, only listened to his lung and heart and said, “his lung is clear, keep him hydrated, well rested and he will be well by Friday (which is the next day)”. Idk on what premise the doctor gave such “guarantee”, she didn’t even test my son for anything. I eventually took my son to the Children’s hospital urgent care on Friday when he didn’t show any sign of improvement (of course not) where he was tested positive for walking pneumonia. Chest x-ray shows his right lung has been infected already. What happened to “his lung sounds clear”? It’s not only unprofessional, but terribly misleading and serious-consequences-bearing for a doctor to give diagnosis so carelessly. The doctor we visited is Gwendolyn J Keiser ARNP. I will never trust a word from Allegro pediatricians. And you shouldn’t either.
We’ve been going to a Allegro Pediatrics since 2016, when we first moved here to see Dr. Spanier. We have also seen other doctors at Factoria and have been pleased. We highly recommend Allegro Pediatrics.
My son gets the best care at Allegro Pediatrics. With all of the constant updates in my complex health kiddo.. we get all the information and care he needs . Thank you to the kind staff and Nurses . Also a big thank you for the best care from Dr. Uyeno
